PLOT
It has been 80 years since the rebellion of Nova Terra against Alpha Terra - the alliance between Nova and the people of the Earth - came to an end. It was a movement called Zenith, an ideology with a leader known as Mikkel Mordecai. Mordecai, the president of Nova, and his followers had cleverly conducted several acts of espionage on several Alpha ships within the air space surrounding the colony.
The people of Nova Terra were tired of being suppressed by Alpha Terra and the rest of the Alliance. They were a people ravaged by factories and labor, producing high-end technology to fuel Allied conquest across the stars. The imperialism of the Alpha Terra did not sit well with the people of Nova because they did not benefit in the same way Beta and Delta did.
Nova Terra was considered a core industry by many - it had been the first real success of migrating to outer space. But to Earth and the politicians of the Alliance they were growing too quickly and were too strong and needed to be outgrown by Delta Terra.
The Alliance was taken by surprise. Mordecai was swift. Taking out the space stations controlling Nova Terra. Leaving it free from the Alliance's control. There was no way Alpha Terra could defend against it and they were too far away to retake what they had lost.
Alpha tried to retaliate by closing off trade routes, but Beta and Delta refused and continued to trade anyway. In the following years Nova grew even faster with thousands of people flocking to the port every day.
Recently, though, there have been hidden missions away from the public's eyes.
Any military action within Terran space has been hidden from the media with the citizens of both world's living in ignorant bliss. Only knowing that Nova and Alpha Terra have a strong defence military.
Any fighters from the outworlds captured in Nova Terran space has been sent to labour in the factories or become personal slaves for the citizens - though where all the slaves have come from is just hearsay. They became a commodity that grew upon the wealthy as the years went by and soon filtered down to the masses.
Surprisingly, a large number of the slaves end up staying with their employers once granted freedom - because their quality of life is substantially higher to that on Earth.
But last year the new President Henry Alington was assassinated and no one really knows who was behind it. Rumours spread of Alpha Terra finally going after what was taken from them, but they were adamant it wasn't them. Nor did Beta Terra or Deta Terra know anything about it.
The new president is ready to take control, though there are questions about his motives - did he kill the last president to get to his position, or was it just for the spoils of war.
There is no doubt that the new president is a better leader than the previous - but Nova Terra aren't sure where he will lead his people. To a full rebellion? Taking Alpha Terra and the rest of the Alliance for his own?
